How do I get more customers for my retail business?

Feel like you aren’t getting as many customers as you used to? Foot traffic reduced or website traffic dropped? Don’t be alarmed. There are a lot of people who feel this way! In 2025 times are tough for the retail space, so you need to be smart with your investments but even more so, smart with your time!

Believe it or not no matter how hard times get and how tight the purse strings are, people will still buy presents for their loved ones and who doesn’t love a little “treat yo-self” shopping.

To be able to spend time on growing your business, it is important to give yourself the space to do so. Success for you right now, might look like 1 x more sale per week. But what that one more sale per week could also do, is free you up to spend two more hours on executing your marketing for next month, whether it be filming content or product development, that could drive 3 x more sales per week.

And this, my dear friend, is where the magic begins to happen!

With your new focus on ONE more sale per week, what will you do to make that happen?

3 Quick Wins:

Increase your social frequency

I heard you! Yes, it is hard to be seen, and the algorithm is different now to how it used to be. But what’s easy is putting yourself out there, regularly. It doesn’t have to be glamorous or a professional set up, put your ring light away. Just get out there authentically and with purpose. Tell people who you are and what your business is all about. TIP: Try to post at least 3 x a week on each platform.

Share your business

People are busy, remind them you are here! (And yes, that means on Facebook too!) There is absolutely nothing wrong with telling / reminding and celebrating being a business owner. TIP: Make sure that you are reminding people what you are all about and not asking them to buy something. Friends hate that.

       Introduce yourself

Get up, off your chair and go say hi to someone new. That could be your business neighbour, your house neighbour or that friendly lady that smiles at you at school pick up. By growing your network, the more people know who you are and therefore will know about your business. TIP: Don’t be a salesman, be yourself and be sure to listen to their story too. You never know when a collab / new friend or cool vibe could be right next door.
